Continuing the fifth-anniversary celebration of Chapman’s Escalette Collection of Art, this exhibition invites viewers to discover dialogues within and between modern and contemporary artworks selected from the collection.
Together, the pairs create a relationship that can be at once complimentary and conflicting, luminous and heavy, playful and passive. Neither opposites nor equals, they test the hybridity of language that visual abstraction can generate.
