Label Text“For me, the experience of any art, my own included, should set us free. It should turn the pain of living into a Sunday afternoon, a moment of repose with all our senses at peace.” - Julian Stanczak
Submerged Colour Intermixtures includes what Stanczak called "cut-outs" and "transparencies" - motifs that emerged in this work during the late 1960s and 1970s, a decade in which he shifted from his early "Op Art" paintings to geometric abstraction. Stanczak is recognized as an early proponent of Op Art painting.
