Assistant Professor of Art, Ceramics and Sculpture David Kiddie teaches ceramics and sculpture and oversees the facilities in these areas in the Chapman University Department of Art. His works are in many national and international collections, and he has shown at numerous galleries and museums including the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Orange County Museum of Art, Cal Poly Pomona University, University of La Verne and the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art.

Professor Kiddie works with a variety of media, such as painting, drawing and printmaking, while most of his production has been in ceramics. His technical expertise in clay coupled with his knowledge of ceramics history and culture has made him in demand to perform workshops at other institutions and conferences. His ceramic works have covered the gamut of the clay medium from functional wares to figurative sculpture. Professor Kiddie also makes works in collaboration with other artists, most recently with painter Michael Reafsnyder. He is also interested in Native American Pueblo Pottery and has received research grants in this area.
