Label TextArtist Statement:
"Nordic or Germanic runes heavily influenced by conception of "A Votre Sante". Like the hexagrams of the I Ching, or Book of Change, the 24 characters of the runic alphabet have been used for divination. They are "universal symbols that depict patterns of inner processes not realized in actual situations". Each rune is unique in its pattern, but its uniqueness is relative to its relation to the other runes. Each rune is incomplete without its relation to the others... The three elements of my sculpture can be moved around to change their relationship to each other. There is no pre-arranged order that has preference over any other. As I constructed them, I could feel something magical coming from them. I hope you can feel their protective and prophetic powers."
