Label TextIn weaving, weft threads are shuttled over and under warp threads to create fabric.Ann Hamilton (b. 1956) studied textile design and often uses cloth as a tactile and gestural tool in her artwork. Here, she punctured finely woven silk organza, then pressed the disrupted fabric directly onto printing plates to transfer the image.
